Lunch Box Ideas

Now that school is back in full swing it's nice to have a list of foods to mix and match for lunches during the week. Many of these options now come in Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free. If you come up with an additions, please feel free to post and I will add them to the master list.


* Leftovers (very frugal option)
* Turkey & Cheese Sandwich (lettuce in a separate bag)
* Banana Bread w/ Nut Butter topping and mini chocolate chips
* Carrot or Celery Sticks w/ Ranch (dairy or non-dairy) Dressing
* Banana w/ Yogurt Dip
* Animal Crackers
* Antipasto
* Grilled Cheese
* Cubed, grilled chicken
* Hot Dogs & Baked Beans (quartered to prevent choking)
* Chili
* Spaghetti w/ Sauce
* Cocktail meatballs
* Skewered fruit and Yogurt Dip
* Pear (stage 1) or Apple Sauce (stage 2)
* Nut Butter & Banana Sandwich
* Homemade Trail Mix (choking hazard for toddlers but safe for older kids)
* Homemade Soup or Stew
* Pear or Apple Slices
* Pudding or Natural Gelatin
* English Muffin Pizzas (use your imagination)
* French Toast w/ Pure Maple Syrup
* Fruit Salad
* Hard Boiled Egg
* Tuna Fish on White Bread
* Pita or Tortilla Chips w/ Hummus or Salsa
* String Cheese
* Chicken Salad on Toast
* Homemade Bean Dip & Tortilla Chips
* Cubed melon
* Smashed Sweet Potatoes
